You are kindly ask to download and fill in the registration form. The completed form should be returned as an e-mail with attachment to anda.ikauniece@lhei.lv till 10 August.

Due to technical problems with payment procedures the early registration fees are valid till 10 August. After receiving your registration form we will send you an electronic invoice for the fee via PayPal system.

URGENT!!! Information on paper formats

If you would like to have your full paper published in IEEE Xplore and included in the CD with the symposium proceedings, please submit your full paper to Albert J. Williams (awilliams@whoi.edu) till August 10 in one of the possible formats. You can choose which one you like better - two column (example) or one column (example).

The form for transfer of copyright to IEEE can be find here. The Publication Title in case of the symposium is IEEE Xplore.

Venue

All symposium sessions will take place in the central building of the University of Latvia, Raina blvd.19, http://www.lu.lv/eng/. It is located in the very centre of Riga, close to the Old city and also the symposium hotels are in the walking distance from the site. We have booked the Small Hall for symposium http://www.lu.lv/eng/visitors/rooms/smallhall/.

Weather

The Latvian meteorologists state that August is the second warmest month of the year in Latvia but they list also strong wind, showers and no rain at all, temperatures above 30 degrees Celsium and below zero – so everything is possible in August. Be prepared, have umbrella and sweater - the meteorological summer in Latvia ends at August 26.

Public transportation

Riga has bus, tram and trolley-bus lines. One ride at any of those lines cost LVL 0,50 if you pay by electronic ticket or LVL 0,70 if you buy the ticket from driver. The electronic ticket can be purchased at various places listed in the www.rigassatiksme.lv The E-ticket is quite convenient if you plan to use the public transportation system at least 5 times.
